Most summer Islamic School programmes are aimed at those already studying Islamic Studies at University or post graduation with a particular focus. However there is lack of a generic summer programme focussing less on rituals and more looking at the broader Muslim civilisational experience for post-secondary or tertiary education and even STEM students and professionals who usually miss out in any summer activities. With this in mind, we aimed to achieve the following:
Who is behind the project?
Islamic Courses is a “non-profit” project initiated by Islamic Circles, a community-based network that has been running at the Froud Community Centre, East London since January 2001.
What do we do?
We organise a wide range of Islamic events, projects and activities including short courses, seminars, workshops, social gatherings and more.
Why it matters
We serve as a much-needed platform to engage leading Muslim theologians, thinkers, philosophers, academics AND non-Muslim experts on various aspects of the Muzlamicate Civilisation through seminars, courses and conferences.
